How can I get Project 1.7?

The current "beta" (means: unfinished) version of 1.7 is only available to people who show support for this project. Please read the questions below for full details of why and how this works, but the easiest way to show real support is by donating $20USD or more to us*.

The next version of PJ64 will be a big update - in fact, we're working on the biggest set of changes since we started before v1.0. Much of the emulator is being rewritten using the experience everyone has gained, it might well be our last release, and of course we want to make it as good as we possibly can.

The bad news is that the next version of PJ64 will not be completely finished - or publically released - for a long time** (see below).

The good news is you may not have to wait, to use the latest developments! People who do support the development of Project64 have access to all beta builds of the emulator that we have done since the last public version, and all the ones we make in the future until the next public version. Please read the questions below for full details.

If you have already donated, all you need to do is login to the site. After you have logged in a new menu is available “Beta Development”. Under this menu there is an option for beta downloads where you can get the latest version of Project64.

* Please Note: It is not a requirement to be a member to use Project64 – the current public version (older, but still works well for most people!) is always 100% free to use and can be downloaded from this site and distributed.

** How long is "a long time"? - 2 or 3 years, probably - we'll give a more precise date when we get closer so that you have some warning if the public release is anywhere near and no one has to feel hard done by.

Sorry donations are currently down
