We are trying to make Project64 the best N64 emulator possible for all of our users to enjoy. This means we must spend a lot of time (our work time and free time, lots of it) on PJ64. If you are kind enough to donate to us you are making it less difficult for us to spend time on PJ64 - and you can feel that you are giving something back in return for the enjoyment you have hopefully had from our work already!

Donating is the main way that people become a member of this site (there are other ways like contributing texture art, so please contact us if you feel you have other useful things to offer, but no time wasters please).

We feel that people who do donate to us really do support the development of this emulator, it is not just a way of making easy money (the hourly rate, if you look at it, is really awful!). Aswell as the actual donation, you will be sending us the clearest message that you care and that you want us to continue. Membership has many benefits, e.g. it allows you to try out new features of the next version of Project64, before it is available to the public (please see the relevant question in the list for the full list of membership benefits).

If you wish, you may then also participate in some of the development - for example we will try to make the changes you like whenever possible. But, you are not required to do anything after you donate. We expect most donators will enjoy using the latest version, but you are not required to do anything more for us, unless you want to.
